Structural design
The new residential complex represents part of the redevelopment process of a former industrial area located a few steps from the center of Monza.
The project consists of two elegant seven-story buildings above ground, for a total of 84 apartments, connected by a single basement of approximately 4,775 m2.
The load-bearing structural works - pillars and the 7 stairwell/elevator bodies - are made of reinforced concrete.
The floors are made of bidirectional plates with cantilevers that have a span of 4.20 m. The foundation works are of the direct slab type.
Each building is defined by two dynamically independent structures designed to create a structural joint as the plan dimensions are close to 60 metres.
Location : Monza, Italy
Floor area : 20,500 m²
Structural works project : eng. Andrea Sangalli
