Structural works design and works management

The single-storey industrial building has a vertical load-bearing structure in reinforced concrete pillars made on site. These pillars create constraints on nine concrete beams with a double-pitched section with a clear span of approximately 19.50 m with an intrados approximately 7.35 m from the floor level. The only floor slab present constitutes the roof of the industrial building.

Following structural interventions on the beams and the roof slab, seismic improvement was pursued after carrying out a characterization campaign of the materials constituting the structural works. During almost all the construction phases, production activities were not interrupted, thanks to a design and execution carried out by acting from the roof.

The planned interventions allow a reduction in Seismic Risk and the transition of a number of Risk Classes compared to the situation before the works equal to 1 with consequent application of the Seismic Bonus.
