Reduction of seismic risk
The “G. Rodari” school has been the subject of important seismic improvement interventions carried out in two different lots.
The first lot involved a structurally independent unit. Seismic improvement was achieved by installing metal carpentry to ensure rigid connection between the structural elements constituting the load-bearing frame of the building. All the masonry lintels were also secured using metal carpentry.
The second lot involved a structurally independent unit. A seismic improvement was achieved by installing suitable metal carpentry to ensure the rigid connection between the structural elements constituting the load-bearing framework of the building. In addition to the above, the corrugated sheet metal roofing was replaced with a roofing with a draining joint that was always active after thermal insulation.
