Seismic vulnerability analysis and structural design
The building is now disused, a former industrial production centre consisting of two bodies, which respectively define a tall building (basement, ground floor, first floor, second floor, third floor and roof) and a low building (basement, ground floor and roof).
The building was subjected to seismic vulnerability analysis following the execution of a materials characterization campaign and the subsequent drafting of guidelines - with economic estimate - of the interventions necessary to reduce seismic risk.
The structural works are mainly defined by reinforced concrete for both the vertical works (walls and pillars) and the horizontal works, reinforced concrete floors also with the insertion of brick lightening elements. The foundation works are of the continuous type in correspondence with the perimeters while they are defined as isolated plinths for the elevations placed in a central position; the foundation works of the stairwells are concluded by defining them as a slab.
